Minutes of Extraordinary Committee Meeting held on September 27th, 2003 at 11am

| 2.1 | Fundraising for Library: Mark has agreed to make a paddle for the next raffle after the flogger. Currently Amazon has 'Screw the Roses, Send me the thorns' packaged and on special with another bdsm book 'The Loving Dominant' for approximately $60 including delivery, as we have enough funds currently, all agreed to order it now. | ||
| 2.2 | Consentual: Debbledee has finally managed to find out what is happening with Queensland CLA and future 'Consensual' events. Sadly Queensland CLA is being dissolved and its funds dispersed, however they are calling for bids for the allocation of the funds, amounting to approximately $3000 (hence the calling of this Extraordinary meeting). The bid requires that we state how much of the funds we seek and what purpose we intend to use those funds for. After having discussed with those present and those not able to attend, it was decided to apply for "any and all" funds available, to be used for the following uses, dependant on amount received and possibilities when the time comes: | ||
| 2.2.1 | 'Adelaide Con': To be held in late 2004 or 2005. | ||
| 2.2.2 | Sexpo: After the success of having a stall at Adelaide's Sexpo last year, which resulted in about 50 new people joining the local community, it would be good if we could achieve better results with more preparation time, and a larger event. As members of the Melbourne community have been trying to get a CLA group going in Victoria, and Melbourne Sexpo attracts people from right across the nation, it may be a good opportunity to reach a lot more people not currently in the bdsm community, and show them what groups and resources exist all over Australia. Current Sexpo in November would be too soon, but next years would give us plenty of time to arrange travel, accommodation, liaise with locals, and raise any additional funds needed. | ||
| 2.2.3 | Library: Continue to expand our collection of books and videos, which we have been making available to the wider community. | ||
| 2.3 | Workshops: | ||
| 2.4.1 | Basics - It was decided that we will set the date for the workshop to cover the basic aspects of bdsm, for the 18th of October, in the early afternoon. We shall keep this as a free workshop to encourage as many people to attend as possible. We shall however ask that people bring their own soft drinks and snacks. | ||
| 2.4.2 | Toy Making - Look at having this at Mark's in November, and promote it as a way to make gifts for Christmas. | ||
| 2.4.3 | Flogging -Look at having this one next year, as we are starting to get into the silly season. | ||
