Consensual Lifestyles Association Inc. [S.A.]

Minutes of Committee Meeting, 19th February 2005, at 7.10pm

Present: Huntress, troy, Wayne, Mark.

Apologies: Debbledee, Debbie, Roger.

1 Previous minutes: Accepted as read.

2 General Business:
2.1 Library:
2.1.1 Fundraising: Raffles are still popular, but again it has been coming down to Huntress getting all the prizes etc when others have been meant to, and she would appreciate more help in this area. Mark donated a flogger to be added to the next raffle. Munch members like, and now expect, a raffle at each munch, but this may not be possible to maintain. Wayne suggested getting some of the tiny pegs and making a zipper as part of a future raffle prize.
2.1.2 Books and videos: New video has been misplaced by person who borrowed it on the first time it went out. They have looked repeatedly for the video and can't find it, and it was borrowed back in September so have had ample time to find it, along with ample reminders to search. Videos have been loaned to the library by the person to help make up for the loss, but those given to us on loan are not of the same caliber as what has been lost and are not something we are interested in having in the library. Videos are to be returned to their owner at XD, and a letter is to be sent to the member of record who is responsible for the item loss, to let them know they have a further 2 weeks to find and return the lost item, or failing that they must then replace it or pay the cost to replace it.

2.2 General Fundraising and promotion:
2.2.1 Feast and Fringe: We had the stall at Feast which attracted a few people (mostly women). Unfortunately it rained most of the evening so fewer people came out, but it would still seem a good idea to have a stall again at this years Feast. It was also decided that it would be good to run some more advanced workshops at Feast, and maybe use the Consensual funds to pay for the guys at Eagle Leather to come over and do some of the great workshops they have in Melbourne (Huntress will contact them again and see if this will be possible and get an idea of costing).
Fringe is not on until next year as it only happens every 2 years.
2.2.2 Fundraising event: Date is now set for April 2nd, starting at 9pm. Mark would like setup and cleanup help, it was decided to do some setup after the April munch since most people will be in town for that anyway and it is only the evening before.
  • Each committee member is to bring some finger food and a 2lt bottle of soft drink on the night to contribute to the catering. Wayne has a discount card for getting supplies so he will get the plastic cups and napkins for the party
  • Equipment to be set up for the night will include Wayne's cross, Debbledee's cross and Huntress' stocks
  • Dungeon monitors and mentors for the night will be Dragon, Huntress, and Mark, who will all wear armbands to identify them to others
  • Music for the night will be pre programmed so that no one needs to mess around with the sound equipment, to this end Mark would like any music people want to hear on the night, provided to him at least 1 week before, but preferably 2 weeks before, the party in mp3 or wma format
  • Tickets to cost $10 per single or $15 per couple, and be available from Dragon's Blood, and at the next two munches. People who have serious money hassles can negotiate a lower cost or free entry for services provided on the night such as cleanup or setup
  • Games on the night will include such things as 'eat the doughnut off the string', 'single tail accuracy contest', 'bob for the apple/dildo' etc. A small prize such as a keyring flogger may be given
  • Slave auction. Huntress will see if C is willing to go on the auction block, if so she will print up auction dollars etc for people to beg, steal and bid with
2.3 Workshops:
Look at having some workshops as part of Feast this year (as mentioned above). Huntress mentioned it may be time to have a basics workshop again as a lot of new people have joined the scene recently, Mark suggested making it a basics/intermediate workshop to attract and interest more people.

Meeting Closed: 8.40pm
