Consensual SA became an idea back in 1999 to follow Queensland and NSW into starting an organisation to facilitate a national body and to tie together the various factions arising from the scene in SA, to provide accredited training, to provide a comprehensive, reliable source for information, resources and community services, for people of all orientations and walks of life, distributing a newsletter detailing current local events and happenings to community members and to promote tolerance and acceptance of alternative lifestyles. In October of 2000 a committee was formed of interested people to put together a constitution using as a basis the constitutions of Queensland And NSW. We soon discovered how varying the veiws and opinions of different people could be as we hashed and rehashed the contitution. Various workshops have been held but due to the loss to the community of Anandamide and The Hackney Cellars workshops have been put on hold for the time being except for the ones being discussed with the organisors of Feast. I know that with the support that people have already shown that Consensual SA will continue to grow . Dragon |
